Paris: Ministere de L'Agriculture. 1931. Reprint, fine binding. French book about the geology of the French Alps. This edition was presented to Everett Levasseur Hamilton of California, mostly likely around 1931. It is bound in three quarter leather with marble boards and raised, banded spine. The title page and Abbreviations page are hand typed and laid in. I suspect the interior pages were from an earlier edition, an introducton has some dates in the 1920s. Heavily illustrated with photographs and foldout maps. Two large color maps are folded and inserted into a folder inside the rear cover. These are entitled Carte des Avalanges de Neige Eboulements et Glissements de Tearrains (No. 1) Carte des Forets des Alpes (No. 2). Text in French. vg+ with minor edge and corner wear. Item #18631
