Contributions at various times by Paul Krassner, Albert Ellis and many others. Krassner took on many powerful people and organizations including The Catholic Church, big tobacco, the insurance industry, Hearst, the AMA, and many others. A forerunner to Krassners Realist as well. This run includes the following issues:
Expose: 1953: August, Dec; 1954: Feb; 1955: Jan, March, Oct, Nov. Dec; 1956: Jan, Mar (Issue #52).
Becomes The Independent sometime between March and October 1956. 1956: October (#59);1957: Apr (#65) - 67, 69, 72-79, 83-99, 105, 107, 108, 111-116, 129-156 (May 1964).
A scarce and important publication. Generally g/vg with some toning and minor chipping. The first two issues are poor with fold splits. A few have subscription labels. Fragile but other than the first two quite readable. Item #19913
